SAVE THE DOGGIE shirts now available by mail!!

A special "Save the Doggie" t-shirt, designed by Bill Griffith, and featuring a portrait of the last Doggie Diner sign standing (with Zippy and Griffy) in San Francisco, can be ordered by mail for $18.50, or two for $35. Foreign orders should include additional $5 for postage.

All profits from sale of the shirts will support the Ocean Beach Historical Society's efforts to preserve and restore the Doggie Diner sign at 2750 Sloat Boulevard, for which we are currently seeking official "landmark" status from the city. (The OBHS is a San Francisco neighborhood organization dedicated to preserving the beach and local landmarks of ocean amusement park life, such as the Musee Mecanique, the Camera Obscura and the Doggie Diner sign and restaurant.)

To order a shirt, send a check or money order for $18.50 payable to Schechter/ OBHS, and mail it to Joel Schechter, 3657 Wawona, San Francisco, 94116. Indicate size of shirt (Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large), and please allow 3 to 4 weeks for delivery. (Shirts will be shipped as fast as possible, but there may be a backlog.) Be sure to include your mailing address as well as your size (S,M,L,XL). Questions (but not orders) can be sent by e-mail to: jschech@sfsu.edu
